  1. "Oh, do shut up about Kooey-Kooey-Kooey. It wasn't that good." Yes it was! So there! Imagine an awesome witty comeback here!! Put that in your pipe and smoke it!!

Okay, on a serious note, did anyone just notice that DC sneakily started rating their comics?

  2. They have to publish JLI Vol. 6 so that they can reprint the Eclipso story in Vol. 7.

  3. It took me years to get over how pissed I was at Booster and Beetle for that mess, and I still view them as criminals because of it. The humor rarely worked for me under Hughes for some reason, so I missed the laughs.

  4. At least they said they'd pay it back. I'm guilty as charged as a hopeless sucker for Blue and Gold, what can I say. If anyone else pulled that stunt I'd be pissed, too.

  5. A bad JLI-era comic featuring the Blue and the Gold is always better than none!

  6. Yes, Kooey Kooey Kooey was silly. Enormously silly. And yet...nobody dies, or had a limb torn off, the Universe did NOT change forever, and frankly I miss that sort of silliness.

The JLI book coming out covers the whole Teasdale thingie? Not my favorite plotline, but not terrible.

  7. For me, the first Justice League International was the golden period (#7-25) over a run that remains a high water mark. #26-29, 38-42, 51 and 60 were also pretty good. The rest I find very missable.

  8. I loved #51. After that, there wasn't much that I liked a whole lot, but like Sally said, it's better than most of what's in circulation now.

No #37, Frank? (The one with the cat!)

  9. No cat, I'm afraid. That whole sequence bugged me, including the tie-in issue of Justice League Europe.
