The moon has declared war on Earth, and now its emissaries have landed. All over the world these lunar antibodies have absorbed our buildings, our pets and our neighbors, crafting monstrous bodies to tear our world apart. Fighting on the front lines: new recruits Apollo and Midnighter. Plus, Harry Tanner – the Eminence of Blades – makes a play for power that threatens to cut Stormwatch in two!
I really enjoyed last issue's cover, and ripped into Chris Burnham's recently unveiled redux of #1, so you might figure I'd hate this. Well, I don't, aside from the tonal inconsistency and tendency of Burnham to push J'Onn J'Onzz way into the background.

Brightest Day was the closest we will get to a Martian Manhunter solo title for quite a while. It was at least a few issues worth.
ReplyDeleteSad.
Also, notice all the DCnU creative team change ups? That and brightest days leading into pretty much nothing make it clear that not nearly enough planning is going into the whole thing.
