1997 Total Justice in Total Teamwork Coloring Book: Head Gallery

The "story" of this book was told almost entirely without text and with the pages printed completely out of order. This is my best guess at a linear narrative.

Oracle was the de facto leader of the Total Justice team. She called a meeting to explain that an evil villain named Darkseid had partnered with Despero and come to Earth.

  1. Is this the one where they hired someone to write a coloring book, and then arranged the story pages in random order?

  2. The very same. I stopped posting back then because a) the lack of linearity wasn't funny anymore, b) the J'Onn J'Onzz contribution never seemed to resolve and c) there were WAY more Despero pages than Martian Manhunter ones (as he's 50% of the available villains for the book.) I suspect I could run a page every day this month and still have leftovers. As it is, I have a bunch scanned and scheduled for December of Despero 2012.

  3. I'm pretty sure I have this coloring book. If I recall the ink was really bad and smeared when colored with crayons. And yes, I enjoy coloring.

Personally I was thrilled to have a coloring book with Kyle Rayner! Love these postings!

  4. I'm a map pencil man myself, but I'm not sure how that would work out on this cheap brown paper (hello digital contrast!) Seriously, you could get better image quality printing off my posts.

I really do miss the Kyle Rayner era JLA. Not Wally, or the hook hand, or Electric Superman in Blue, or Hippolyta as Wonder Woman, but the rest of it...

  5. Let's see.. from that JLA era you miss Kyle, but not: Wally, hook hand, Electric Blue Superman, nor Hippolyta as WW.

So... that leaves only Kyle, Batman, and Martian Manhunter. Wow, that's quite a League. So you don't really miss that era at all. ;)

(And before people write back about Plastic Man, Barda, long-hair Superman, regular Wonder Woman, etc.. it was joke.)

  6. Eh, I wasn't big in Das UberBatman, either. Basically, I just miss the logo. Great logo!
