It should come as no surprise that I've read my share of Martian Manhunter stories, but certainly nowhere near all of them. For instance, I hadn't bothered with the back-up from Detective Comics #324, since I'm not into dinosaurs, kaijū, or anything else of that sort. I wondered why Alcatena would choose it as the subject for a piece, and it turned out to be an offbeat highlight from that period. I covered the monsters yesterday, but I'll have to give the full story a proper synopsis.
