An apartment in Middletown was no place to keep a super-powered otherdimensional pet, so the Martian Manhunter moved with Zook to a secret mountain headquarters accessible only through a passage the size of a mail slot. That was no problem for the elastic form of Zook, but it was an issue for the host of unwanted visitors clambering about the area...No flies on Glenn Gammeron, but an infernal explosion from Scorch seared his suit and blinded him, sending the bounty hunter bounding uncontrollably, painfully down a rocky slope. Bloodwynd initially took this as a final, misdirected strike from Kishana Lewis, but she lay lifeless before him. No, this was a new opponent, who appeared to have a bit more fire in her...
Zook railed on R'ell, not realizing before it was too late that he couldn't answer the question of why he'd traveled from their other-dimensional home back to Earth if he was flat on his back. Zook spotted poor Glenn Gammeron still rambling on down the mountainside, where his slow roasted form rolled over the diminutive corpse of Jornell. The now towering White Martian natural form of Till'all winced and leapt out of harm's way, seemingly. The former kid sidekicks of the Manhunter from Mars had never before met, but now they were gonna, the hard way...
As its strange luck would have it, Jupiter the dog slathered L-Ron the robot with its tongue at the precise point of vulnerability to fry enough circuits to incapacitate him. Erdel nonchalantly stepped over the flattened form of amateur inventor Hiram Horner, strolled numerous yards toward L-Ron, and shut him down. Taking the automaton apart, Erdel culled pieces of use to him while Jupiter looked on, seemingly innocently...
"Now, that's acting" pronounced Barry Clark, as he observed Columbus' 2nd rule and delivered the double tap on possum playing Dirk Giles. Similarly, rat-a-tat paws put the Masked Avenger down for the count, and Ben "The Human Squirrel" Stoves had some broad theater in mind for an ersatz Alien Atlas...

I honestly did not see Jupiter beating L-Ron. I swear I didn't vote twice!
There's a local car dealership giving away a car for entrants with perfect NCAA brackets. I wonder if anyone can get a perfect bracket in this contest?
Bit late to start, I'm afraid. Jupiter alone would have sunk mine, and I favored Dirk Giles over Barry Clark. I still think love is a better motivation than fame, plus Clark's fraud was more egregious, and he contributed less to a greater good.
