I've been lax in posting, but my job wants me to start getting actual work done so I had to cut back on my internets. Today is a slow day though, so let's get to it! I really like this. I would still be pissed by some of the miss-characterizations, but had the art been like this I'd have been all about the miniseries. contrasted with that earlier BatO promo piece where Sook did the "classic" look, I think this sets a rule. The Superman billowing cape rule isn't right for J'onn. At rest, the cape should be static. Even in motion, I like when it seems to have weight, Like Maguire and Hughes did in JLI. It's a regal cloak covering his more savage self. But yeah, I like this.
You would figure J'Onn'd shapeshift himself a few inches taller so his cape wouldn't drag like that. Anyway, I agree about the cape. Even Gil Kane, master of the Superman flutter-cape knew to give J'Onn's heft.
