1993 Skybox DC Cosmic Teams Hologram Hall of Fame DCH13 Lobo Trading Card

Here's a chase card from the second (and final) universe spanning DC card set to feature original comic art. I can't recall what the scarcity of these things was, but an awful lot of people are selling this online for about five bucks, so I figure there were at least 4-6 in each box. There is no 3-D effect, as the card instead badly attempts to portray motion. A chromatic outline of Lobo appears in the distance if you tilt the card one way, plus some space dolphins, and three pursuit ships (one exploding.) Tilt the card a bit, and a fully rendered Lobo appears in the 2-D foreground with a larger, better drawn dolphin. Tilt it some more, and you get a space scene background. It's rudimentary, dull, and the flat metallic silver does it no real favors. I assume the art's by Val Semeiks, but there's no credit listed.

Frank...I'm tilting my laptop but I'm getting no 3D effect whatsoever. Am I doing something wrong?

I never knew Lobo consorted with dolphins that long ago. I thought that was a 52 invention.

As far as I know, the dolphin thing came out of L.E.G.I.O.N. I haven't read The Last Czarnian in twenty years, but I'm pretty confident the dolphins were being used by then, and certainly no later than Lobo's Back.

I know his appearance in JLI when Scott Free was kidnapped he was hangin out with Space Dolphins. Magna Khan was paying him in dolphin food as I recall.
