2012 Super-Team Family: The Lost Issues: Manhunter and Iron Fist

Almost a year ago, we covered Ross' Paul Kirk team-up fanfic collage Marvel Two-in-One: The Lost Issues: The Thing and Manhunter. Ross has been busy making a bunch of J'Onn J'Onzz ones since then, but I need to offer up the original Manhunter one more time to clear the decks and start catching up with the fun...

For me to really luv Manhunter, I don't own one issue of a solo book of his. But I absolutely luv his battle uniform, I'd tone down the blue and darken up the red but his uniform screams bad ass martial arts superhero.

The guy who does these team ups has something good going on. Remind me again if you will. These are images merged together from separate books right? Is there fan fiction to go with em?

OA1, that's right. Typically, Ross will find one image with a preferred character and a background, then layer a second character in from another source. For instance, it looks to me that most of this picture was drawn by Walt Simonson, so probably just Iron Fist (clearly not by Simonson) and his adversary were added, like an old Colorform. Of course, the other cover elements (logos, etc.) also have to be added in.

You can pick up the entire '70s Manhunter strip in a cheap reprint edition from the early '80s, or the more upscale trade paperback from the late '90s with a new story added. It's right up your alley on the martial arts/spies/consequences of violence front.
