Robot Chicken Episode #64: Bring a Sidekick to Work Day

Okay, I did a glorified linkpost this week to the Martian Manhunter Fotolog, which reader LissBirds followed to find information on a segment from Cartoon Network's [adult swim] series Robot Chicken. From the second aired episode (12/14/08) of the 2008-2009 fourth season, titled "They Took My Thumbs," comes the segment "Bring a Sidekick to Work Day."

Segment Summary: The Justice League takes a pause from crimefighting for an afternoon of sexual innuendo, pranks, and boy-hunting.

Length: 2:30

Cast: Sebastian Bach (Martian Manhunter), Alex Borstein (Wonder Woman), Clare Grant (Aqualad), Seth Green (Aquaman, Batman, Robin, Kid Flash, Martian Boyhunter), Breckin Meyer (Speedy), Matthew Senreich (Flash), Milo Ventimiglia (Green Arrow)

Characters: Wonder Woman, Speedy, Green Arrow, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Aqualad, Aquaman, Previous Aqualad, Robin, Batman, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Martian Boyhunter

Presumably, that means we can add former Skid Row frontman, Broadway actor, and occasional Gilmore Girls cast member Sebastian Bach to the expanding list of actors to play J'onn J'onzz. Gee, and I thought that guy from Mad Max was a curious choice...

Ha! Happy to see this got featured.

I bet if J'onn offered his sidekick milk instead of soda he wouldn't have gotten the silent treatment.

The Aqualad bit just killed me...

Well, y'see, in a pinch these types of links really come in handy, and are appreciated. It's also nice when Tom's Archive Editions cover me over a weekend, and it just so happens...

The supernerd in me was going "ZOOK you morons" the whole time. Although I guess that could be T'omm, J'onn's silver age kid brother.

You know I did the exact same thing, but nice save with T'omm. You deserve a No Prize!

That thought crossed my mind, too, mc. But then the super-rationalizer in me thought, Zook isn't mean enough to dump a whole bunch of sidekicks into a volcano so they had to use someone else. :)

Plus, he can't turn invisible, so the gag would be lost.
