2010 Martian Manhunter Archives Vol. 7 Create-Your-Own Back Cover by Tom Hartley

Tom Hartley was working on his latest archive edition, and began releasing portions to me. I'd planned to tease this one out weekly rather than bunching the posts together, which would help to buy Tom time to finish his introduction. However, I'm now writing two "daily" blogs, updating three others regularly that often require synchronized linking with the first two, and knocking out a link post/critical review a few times a week on a sixth. This is helping me to develop early onset senility, and I'm experimenting with whether excessive blogging can cause balding in the genetically disinclined. Point being, I need to build and schedule posts in advance to make sure anything from one week shows up on another, because I can barely keep each individual day straight.

Continuing from last month's Martian Manhunter Archives Volume 7 Fan Mock-Up Cover by Tom Hartley is the return of his always fun DIY back cover web page-- nine front pieces covering half a decade's worth of soloish stories. I found my own choices this time pretty simple, since Martian Manhunter #3 had a terrible cover, Secret Origins #35 was the image source for the Archive's mock cover, and American Secrets #2-3 were rendered redundant by repetitive design. Then again, you might have an entirely different take, through the intriguing interactive page which Tom explains:

This uses some complicated javascript that may not work with all browsers... Attached is a screenshot of the back cover page that you can post to your blog... I'd like to know which covers everybody picked. Please post your choices to this comments thread.

My picks would be Martian Manhunter (1988) #1 & 2, Secret Origins #35, and American Secrets #1.
