"This sketch was given to me by Jim when I worked for him back in the early 90's. From a historical perspective I believe this was the first time he drew the Martian Man Hunter. This was drawn around the time of Uncanny X-Men 269." -Karl Altstaetter

Jim Lee undoubtedly one of the best artists. I like how he even put in the pie logo, and made the logo pretty big.

I've been a Jim Lee fan at various times and in varying degrees. His default male expression is pissed.

Favorite Artist Timeline:
1988-1990 Whilce Portacio
1990-1992 Jim Lee

I still like Whilce, but I really got over Jim Lee. For the most part, his plastic action figures bore me. This was a fun piece, though. Karl Altstaetter must be a big fan, and it's funny how on-model this was for the JLI era.

I'm not a big Jim Lee fan, but I like this. Probably because it's earlier on. The giant pie logo kind of works in a way.
