Gil Kane was one of the first artists I ever learned to recognize as a young reader, and while at the time I found him very odd, today I revere him above most any other artist in the history of the medium. The dynamic anatomy, the spectacular layouts, the unique perspectives-- the raw energy on display in his books are among the most satisfying examples of comic art in existence. I will always regret never meeting or commissioning this titan, and will forever envy the fellow who owns this piece!
