This one includes a great Invasion: Aftermath story and the recruitment drive for the League's European branch, both highlighting J'Onn J'Onzz. The other issues fall into that fallow period between Kevin Maguire and Adam Hughes on art, usually sporting work by Ty Templeton. The stories were pretty blah, focusing on a semi-serious Blue Beetle arc.

Not sure if Black Lantern Martian Manhunter is here, but the odds seem decent, and the book has been pretty good so far.

I've been enjoying Run. Great art. Obscure villains. And the Human Flame's characterization as a full on scumbag is delightfully take no prisoners. None of his "dastardly deeds" feels forced. He's genuinely a stupid, self centered bad guy, instead of Pure Evil or insane. I find that somehow refreshing. An everyman for the supervillain set.

I don't exactly have a deep personal investment in the Human Flame's characterization, so "scumbag" is fine by me. I just want to be sure this is a lot better than Sturges' awful work on Salvation Run...?

So far, yeah, mostly because I don't care about any of the characters. I'm not even sure who General Immortus arches (to borrow a term from Venture Bros.) As far as Salvation Run, the situation was just ludicrous and pointless. I blame the editors for it.

Immortus was the Doom Patrol's main baddie, and the one who "killed" them the first time out. Hopefully, knowing things like that won't bug me if I give the book a try (likely, I'm thinking.)
